Can you get waxed if you use retinol?
Things you need to know!
Please ensure you make your Therapist aware if you have started using any of these products. Unfortunately if we don't know, you may have a reaction to a waxing procedure that you may have been having for a long time, which is now effected by a product you are using
Retinol Retin-A Retinoic acid Hydroquinone
You must not have used any of the above products at least 7 days before a waxing treatment, this is regardless of where you have put it, or where you want waxed. These products affect your whole body, even if you have just put it on your face! Ideally we recommend you halt using your retinol products 7 to 10 days before your scheduled waxing appointment. As for other ingredients that can cause skin to become sensitive and pose problems for your upcoming waxing appointment, glycolic acid and lactic acid should be avoided about 5 day prior. We alert you to these things because they are important for your health and well-being, and to ensure you get the best from your treatments, "Its all about you"
